Home ›Understanding and Addressing Climate Change Impacts in North Kingstown
This event, presented by the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center/Rhode Island Sea Grant College Program (CRC/SG) is focused on understanding and addressing the potential impacts of storms and sea level rise upon North Kingstown and Rhode Island. Janet Freedman, a geologist from the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council, will explain what these impacts are, and URI CRC/SG coastal planners Teresa Crean and Pam Rubinoff will present a project that is helping North Kingstown better protect people, property and public infrastructure -- vulnerable assets -- from the effects of erosion, flooding and sea level rise. Lecture at 6:30 P.M. Please RSVP to amber@crc.uri.edu. Come early to view maps/displays.
