Each author will give a very brief presentation. Then attendees will have a chance to talk to the authors individually. Registration not necessary.

Does it sound exciting? Are you young, old or in between? North Kingstown resident Julie Cerrito will discuss her experiences with the Peace Corps from 1984 to 1986. Julie served as a volunteer working with health issues in the Philippines. She’ll show a short film guaranteed to inspire and educate. Her time in the Peace Corps was an experience she found “wonderfully enlightening” and she is excited to share it with us. Please register to let us know you are coming.

After the success of our League tournament, the library has decided to start a League of Legends Club, which will meet once a month on a Saturday to play, discuss strategies and take part in other League-related activities. All Summoner levels are welcome, though participants must be ages 13 and up. Please register.

The winter solstice, this year on December 21st at 6:03pm, marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Since ancient times, the December solstice has played an important role in cultures around the world. Many holidays are celebrated at this time of year. Whatever holidays you may or may not celebrate, come join with us in a musical celebration. Flautist Jane Revkin and pianist Dawn Chung will present this winter-themed program of music from various genres, from classical, jazz, Celtic and New Age to soundtracks.
