- South County Room
Special collections of local history, genealogy and rare books and artifacts are located
in the South County Room.
- Using the South County Room
- Register at the reference desk. Patrons under 18 years of age must be
accompanied by an adult.
- Photocopying is permitted, provided that it will not damage the
original material.
- Picture taking is not permitted.
- Staff will retrieve materials from locked cabinets and closed stacks
upon request.

HeritageQuest Online provides libraries with a unique, growing collection of
research materials for tracing family history and American culture. The database
includes original page images from over 25,000 books and the entire U.S. Federal Census.
Census records can be searched by name, place of birth, age, ethnicity and
other variables.

photographs.
- Davisville Mill Records Collection: May be examined by appointment
only.
- Family Tree Maker's Family Archives: Vital Records: Rhode
Island 1500s-1900s--This CD-ROM includes 20 volumes of the Rhode Island
Genealogical Register and 13 volumes of Rhode Island Vital Records, New Series. Probate
records, town records, land records, family histories, cemetery records, church records,
and military records are included.

- Scrap Book Collection: Most of the books were compiled by local
historian Mary K. Huling.
- Quonset Collection: Photos, Quonset Scout Issues and Navy
Publications. By appointment.
